What are the consequences of not having a good bookkeeper ?

Outsource or employ own bookkeeper ?

There are a lot of advantages to outsourcing. You only pay for the number of days required. Many of our clients do not need a full-time bookkeeper.

We are much more experienced than the average Central London Bookkeeper and will process the work much more quickly and more accurately.

How it works ?

We come along say one day per week, usually the same day each week, by the same bookkeeper. We can also do the work on our premises.

How do you charge?

We always charge a fixed monthly fee. Once we get started, we will quickly agree with you if you require 1 day or 2 days per week time slot.

You will always know the bookkeeping costs upfront and quite often this remains the same for a number of years.

Will we be allocated the same bookkeeper ?

Yes, an advantage for both sides.

Will you attend any meeting we may have in VAT or Payroll by HM Revenue & Customs?

We will take care of all your bookkeeping requirements and attend any Vat inspections.

How can I ensure the quality of work?

We have been doing this for over 30 years, our quality of our work is of a very high standard.

Is it expensive?

No, quite often we will be charging less than what you are currently paying. What we can do in 1 day exceeds the average bookkeeper’s output

What software do you use?

Sage line 50 is the top accounting software we will always recommend, suitable for small and medium-sized businesses. Zero has come into the market in recent years which we also use but we find Sage to be more efficient and faster to use.

The introduction of Making Tax Digital , just introduced to apply from 1st April 2019

Do I have to set up a Limited company?

There are advantages in setting up a Limited Company but you don’t have to set a Limited company. You have the right to trade as being individual or in a partnership.

Can I register for VAT if my turnover is below the threshold for registration?

Yes , you can register voluntarily.

When should I register for VAT?

Currently, if your taxable turnover is above £85,000 you must register for VAT
